There are no penalties for getting bonus questions wrong.
Q1: Did you notice... (2 points)
That both "Damien" and "Maiden" are anagrams for Medina? (2 points)
Q2: Harrison lied to police about where he was on the morning of September 14th, 2019 (he said he was visiting his sister). Where was he most likely? (2 points)
He was probably visiting a divorce lawyer (2 points).
In the basketball bag, there's a retainer for a divorce lawyer that indicates Harrison visited a divorce lawyer on September 14th, 2019. We don't know exactly when Harrison visited the lawyer, but it makes sense that if was there in the morning, he'd lie about it to avoid police suspicion (visiting a divorce lawyer on the day your wife is found dead isn't a good look).
Q3: What would have been the motive for the eliminated suspect? (3 points)
Harrison's potential motives for killing Summer were (full points for any of the following answers):
- To get revenge on Summer for her affair; or
- To prevent a financial loss in the divorce; or
- To benefit financially (by gaining Summer’s assets).
Explanations
- Harrison and Summer were dissatisfied with their marriage — they were sleeping in separate rooms, and Summer expressed frustration about Harrison on her blog.
- Summer was having an affair.
- Luna sent Harrison an encrypted letter telling him about Summer's affair.
- Harrison visited a divorce lawyer on the day Summer was found dead.
